Google Fixing Android Data Leak

google in newsGerman security researchers delivered a warning earlier this week to Android users that 99% of devices could be potentially leaking information.

The researchers suggested that hackers could have access to user data pertaining to their contacts and calenders using a “token” that allows users to not have to login to their accounts every time they use certain applications.  They have also warned that these issues are becoming more frequent.

Google has announced that they are working to fix the potential security flaw that conceivably allow third party access to user accounts.

The repairs are said to take place over the next few days.  During that span, it has been generally warned that if you are an android customer, avoid open Wi-Fi networks.  Criminals could use this to access personal user information.

Looks like 3G will just have to do for now.  Sorry data plan.
