apple in newsThe only information Apple has given pertaining to the release of the OS X Lion is that it will be launched in the month of July.

The OS X Lion can be purchased from Apple’s home website and immediately installed onto mac computers once it is launched. It has been predicted by numerous experts that the release will coincide with the launch of the next generation MacBook Air.

The MacBook Air has been Apple’s most successful notebook.  Not only does it lead all other Mac laptops, but the industry as well.  The next generation Air, alongside the OS X Lion gives Apple a one-two punch for the month of July.

In the meantime, while users prepare for the OS X 10.7 (Lion), it would be wise to prepare respective Macs for the installation.  It is important to make sure all products are up to date.  The Mac OS X Lion will require that the Snow Leopard antivirus system is set.  The previous model, Leopard, will not suffice.  Updates are free and available on Apple’s website.  Make sure all steps are carried out to ensure a seamless transition to Apple’s latest OS.
