Playstation Network Back Online

The Playstation network has come back online and are incrementally restoring services to Sony subscribers.  During a data breach that left many PSN customers disgruntled, Sony witnessed growing disdain for their brand and a shrinking loyalty from their public supporters.

Fortunately, with Sony Playstation’s “Welcome Back” campaign, they are looking tosony in news restore their popularity and make up for the trouble they and their fans have been trekking through for over a month.

The compensation package they are bringing to PSN customers is a substantial one, offering free games for Playstation 3 and PSP owners.  Some titles we can expect to be available for download include inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, Wipeout HD/Fury and Dead Nation.  That is for the PS3. For the PSP, we could look foward to seeing LittleBigPlanet, Killzone Liberation, ModNation Racers and Pursuit Force.  They also offer an assortment of free downloads from their Playstation online store. This would include movies and televisions shows that for a limited time will be made free and available for download.

All in all, the campaign being launched to restore their image and satisfy their fans is underway.  The package Sony is offering is a fair one, though they will remain suspect about their ability to protect user information.
