Winklevoss Twins End Facebook Suit, Settle

facebook in newsThe Winklevoss twins, famously portrayed in the movie “Social Network” have dropped their case against former Harvard University classmate, Mark Zuckerberg.

The twins have agreed on a settlement of $65 million that was set back in 2008.   The Winklevoss twins wanted to combat the $20 million cash and $45 million in stock.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ended up ruling against the twins, stating that they had bullied their way around with a powerful group of Silicon Valley Lawyers and their powerful father, a business professor.

The twins decided that they did not want to take the case all the way to the Supreme Court, though in the point of view of this writer, they may have actually had a chance at winning considering the poor decision-making the nation’s highest court has made within the past couple of years.  All personal views aside, the Winklevoss’ decision to forgo the Supreme Court wise one.  The two have stock worth $100 Million.
